5 Reasons Why We Don’t Use Auto Scheduling

At all the classes I teach, I discuss how auto scheduling tools like Buffer, TweetDeck, etc are great for small business owners. However, Amplify7 does not use them and here’s why:

1) The point of social media is to engage and respond. When content is scheduled and released at a pre-determined time, you may not be available to properly reply. Life happens, it’s best to make a post when you have the time.

2) Facebook does not like 3rd party tools, as in using anything but Facebook when releasing a post. Therefore, post visibility is greatly decreased when using those tools.

3) It’s imperative to create an authentic presence on social media. Learn the platform that works best with your brand and take full advantage of its uses. For example, all social media platforms have a link preview option: does your picture fill the space appropriately? is the preview text accurate? are the click-throughs being monitored?

4) Errors. There are always complications. Sometimes the accounts don’t sync, the link has changed, or something else frustrating. It’s best to avoid these headaches.

5) The most effective way to use social media is to share relevant content as it is being released. The only way to share an insightful video, review, or news article from the source directly, requires your real time presence on the site.

Remember, it’s not always about your brand. In order to create an optimal environment for your audience, you should balance your posts, pictures, articles, videos, with your content, as well others.
